  • Open Stage – Night of Improvised Dance Performances
  • Performance: How to Build a Stage II
  • Durational Score: Embodied Parliament
Special Workshops
1. Ocean Dive – Katie Hitchcock

Inspired by the complex and lively relationships between sea creatures living in the coral reefs, the workshop guides the participants to unlock somatic possibilities in relation to their environment and each other. You can expect to tap into your senses: sound, sight, smell and touch while being led through group movement exercises. We will start indoors, open up movement possibilities in the body while warming up and begin to build our underwater sensing toolkit. Then we move outside to the beach on Ægisíða to take these practices out in the environment to react and play. Important to dress in layers with good outdoor clothes and shoes.

2. Working with Scales – Janosch Bela Kratz

The constant flow of information expands our bodies much further than the places we live. But how does being in multiple places at once affect our relationship with time? Through the lens of scaling, we will examine, map and embody spaces in the urban landscape, aiming to translate them into time-based movement scores for the group. The workshop will partially happen outside, its recommended to bring warm clothes as well as your favourite pen. Materials for the maps will be provided. Make sure your phones are charged, as we will use them in some cases.

3. To =Excel a Dance – Magdalena Tworek & Janosch Bela Kratz

Numbers, Letters, Columns, Functions, Rows, Logics, ... Dance? A hands-on workshop on how to use Excel or other table programs without going insane.... and dance. Please bring your own computers and clothes to move with!

4. Intention Seeker – Felix Urbina Alejandre

In this workshop, we will explore movement and embodiment through guided imagery and improvisation. By turning our attention to the inner gaze, we will focus on sourcing significant living materials and expressing them through different levels of radiance and intention. We will also visit the possibility of using intimacy, care, and companionship as performative materials - how to empower the other through our gaze or presence. Curiosity and playfulness welcome! Open to movers of all levels and backgrounds.
